First Lady Lordina Mahama Joins OAFLAD Assembly in Ethiopia

First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama has joined fellow African first ladies at the 30th Ordinary Assembly of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), taking place alongside the 39th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The two-day gathering, themed “Building Resilience,” focuses on enhancing the capacity of African communities to withstand current global challenges.
After the opening session, the first ladies and their technical advisers held a private meeting to discuss strategic initiatives for development before joining their spouses for the official opening of the AU Heads of State Assembly.
Renowned for her advocacy in women’s empowerment, child welfare, and community development, Mrs Mahama is scheduled to address the assembly on Sunday.
