President Mahama Departs for Addis Ababa to Attend 39th African Union Summit

President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the 39th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).
During the summit, President Mahama will lead key discussions on Reparations, Gender, and Financial Inclusion, and will co-host several high-level side events. He is also set to host a breakfast session on the Accra Reset initiative, titled “Addis Reckoning.”
In addition to his participation in the main summit, President Mahama is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with fellow African leaders and heads of multilateral organizations. He will also engage in the Italy-Africa Forum, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the continent and Italy.
The First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, is accompanying the President and will attend the Summit of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).
