The Amansie Central Galamsey documentary does not add up, it overlooked key facts & contextual details – Kwasi Mensah

Kwasi Mensah has cast doubt on the credibility of a documentary on illegal mining (galamsey) in Amansie Central that allegedly implicates the District Chief Executive (DCE).

Speaking on Kessben Maakye with Wofa Kofi Appiah, Kwasi Mensah said the content of the documentary “does not add up,” questioning the claims and conclusions drawn against the DCE. According to him, the narrative presented lacks balance and fails to provide sufficient evidence to support the allegations made.

He suggested that the documentary may have overlooked key facts and contextual details necessary for a fair assessment of the situation in the district. Mr. Mensah stressed that while the fight against galamsey is critical, accusations against public officials must be backed by clear and verifiable proof.

He called for thorough investigations into the matter to establish the truth, urging the public to avoid rushing to judgment based solely on the documentary. He also emphasized the importance of responsible journalism and due process when dealing with sensitive issues such as illegal mining.
