Popular Kumawood actor Agya Koo has revealed two main reasons why he is supporting Kennedy Agyapong for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership, citing business development and tourism growth as key factors.
Speaking on Kessben FM with KOD, the veteran actor said Ghana needs a leader who understands how to grow businesses and create opportunities for ordinary citizens. Agya Koo said Kennedy’s strong business background positions him well to support entrepreneurship, attract investment, and strengthen the private sector, which he believes is critical for job creation.
He also highlighted tourism as a major reason for his endorsement, stressing that Ghana’s rich culture, history, and creative arts industry remain underexploited. As a leading figure in the film industry, Agya Koo noted that effective leadership in tourism could boost Kumawood, promote local content, and bring more international attention to Ghana.
Agya Koo added that leadership focused on business and tourism would not only grow the economy but also empower creatives and young people, making his support for Kennedy a strategic choice for the country’s future.
