Let’s put away demigods in NPP and not worship people but serve the party – Oforikrom MP Hon Kwasi Baido to NPP members

The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Hon. Kwasi Baido, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to shift their focus from individual personalities to the collective strength of the party.
Speaking on Kessben FM with KOD, the MP cautioned against what he described as the creation of “demigods” within the party. According to him, excessive admiration and loyalty to individuals can weaken unity and distract members from the core values and mission of the NPP.
“Let’s put away demigods in our party. Let’s not worship people, but serve the party,” Hon. Kwasi Baido stated, emphasizing that the NPP’s success has always been built on teamwork, shared ideology, and discipline rather than hero worship.
He stressed that no single individual is bigger than the party and called on supporters to prioritize unity, humility, and service. The MP noted that internal divisions fueled by personality politics could undermine the party’s chances in future elections.
