Rev. Ntim Fordjour claims alarm he raised led to the withdrawal of CSE content to promote LGBTQ in Ghana schools
Rev. Ntim Fordjour has revealed that attempts were made to integrate Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) into Ghana’s school curriculum in a manner he claims would promote LGBTQ-related content.
Speaking on Kessben FM during an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah, he stated that upon becoming aware of the move, he raised a public alarm which, according to him, led to the swift withdrawal of the proposed content.
According to Rev. Fordjour, the issue required urgent attention because of Ghana’s cultural, religious, and moral values.
He explained that his intervention was motivated by concern from parents, faith-based groups, and sections of the public who opposed what they perceived as an attempt to introduce sensitive concepts to schoolchildren without broad national consensus.
He noted that the quick reversal, in his view, demonstrated the power of public vigilance and engagement in national policy matters.
Rev. Fordjour urged Ghanaians to remain alert and actively involved in discussions around education and social policies to ensure they align with the country’s values and societal expectations.
