NPP’s lightest candidate would outmatch NDC without Mahama – Rev. Ntim Fordjour

Rev. Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South, has made a bold assertion regarding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ongoing flagbearership race, stating that even the least prominent candidate in the contest would be a formidable force against the opposition.

Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah, Rev. Fordjour remarked that “the lightest candidate in the NPP flagbearership race will be the heaviest in the NDC without Mahama.” He explained that this underscores the depth of leadership and political capital within the NPP, compared to what he described as a leadership gap in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) outside of President John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, the NPP has a strong pool of experienced and capable individuals, all of whom have the competence to lead the party and challenge any opponent in a national election.

Rev. Fordjour further stated that the comment was not meant to downplay the democratic process but to highlight the confidence the NPP has in its human resource base. He urged party supporters to remain focused and united as the flagbearership contest progresses with Dr Bawumia as the best bet for the NPP
