Together for Growth: Abbossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association and GUTA Join Forces

The Abbossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association has reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration with the Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) following a productive meeting held on January 9, 2026. This renewed partnership aims to strengthen Ghana’s trading environment and promote fair trading practices.

The Association had previously expressed concerns and temporarily disengaged from certain GUTA activities in December 2025 due to communication gaps and non-recognition of its executive leadership. However, through constructive dialogue and the intervention of the Council of Elders, both parties have resolved outstanding issues and recommitted to improved communication and stronger collaboration.

Chairman of the Association, Mr. Henry Okyere Jnr., congratulated the newly elected GUTA President and emphasized the need for unity and teamwork among trader groups. He stated, “The challenges facing traders today require cooperation rather than division. We must work together as one team, share ideas, and support one another to protect our businesses, stabilize markets, and contribute meaningfully to national development”.

The Association welcomes GUTA’s renewed recognition of its critical role in Ghana’s automotive and trading ecosystem and pledges to work closely with GUTA to address industry challenges and promote sustainable growth.
