Breaking News: Unknown armed men invade New Ogbojo, Accra, collapsing buildings and beating residents
Information reaching us indicates that some unknown armed men have invaded New Ogbojo near America house, Accra, collapsing buildings and beating residents claiming ownership of Ogbojo land.
In a statement signed by Mr Obodai, the leader of New Ogbojo, indicates how discomfort they are at the moment.

10th January, 2026
We, the residents of New Ogbojo, are up in arms against the son of Mr. Evans Teye, a real estate owner who has this morning come with lockers and escavators to collapse our houses in the name of being the owner of these lands.
Evans Tey illegally acquired the land which is the subject matter of this press release.
That portions of this land had been properly sold to developers long ago.
That we have developed the land and we are in peaceful occupation and possession of the land for over 40 years without any hindrance from anybody till today the 10th January 2026 at 6 : 00 am when the son of the late Evans Tey and Anani vita milk (the former owner of Vita Milk) brought land gaurds and supposed national security personnel to forcefully jet us from our various houses.
They were about 60 of them and have perpetrated this unlawful acts upon 160 people who are peacefully living in our house.
This was done without any court order or any statutory support from a Court of competent jurisdiction.
They have threatened people cause damage to properties and vandalize things in our houses which are criminal offence which is punishable by law.
It is trite law that whenever somebody is on the land open for more than 12 years and the owner did not object to the person’s stay on the land, after the exploration of the 12 years the owner’s title to the land is extinguished person on the land aquirer adverse possession on the land.
It is also trite knowledge that there are legal processes for eviction and taken of possession and the action of this people are contrary to this.
We the people in New Ogbojo are in desperate situation as there is a looming threat that the land guards will attack us at any point in time.
We are therefore calling on the security agencies to ensure that peace prevails in this area as the act of landgaurdism has been outlawed in Ghana.
In the situation where the security offices or the law enforcement agencies leave us to our faith, we have no option than to protect ourselves to the extent of causing harm.
