When the wicked rule, the people mourn, but when the good rule, the people rejoice – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Rev. Vincent Kankam has urged Ghanaians to be guided by biblical principles when choosing and appointing leaders, emphasizing the scripture: “When the wicked rule, the people mourn, but when the good rule, the people rejoice.”
According to Sofo Kankam, leadership has a direct impact on the well-being of the people, and the moral character of those in authority should never be overlooked.
He encouraged citizens to look beyond promises and popularity, and instead assess the integrity, values, and track record of leaders before supporting them.
Rev. Kankam stressed that the Bible verse remains relevant in modern governance, serving as a moral compass for decision-making. He noted that when righteous and God-fearing leaders are entrusted with power, society experiences peace, progress, and joy.
