Say No To Drugs: Laughing Gas Balloons pose serious risks to women – Adwoa Amponsah of Narcotics Control Commission cautions

Mary Adwoa Amponsah of the Narcotics Control Commission has cautioned the public, especially women, against the use of laughing gas balloons, warning that they come with serious health and social consequences.

Speaking on the Mma Nkabi show on Kessben TV, hosted by Akua Yeboah, Madam Amponsah, the recreational use of laughing gas, commonly inhaled through balloons, is becoming increasingly popular but dangerously misunderstood.

She explained that the substance can cause both short- and long-term harm, with women being particularly vulnerable due to its effects on the body and overall well-being.

She urged young people to resist peer pressure and avoid experimenting with substances that may appear harmless but carry hidden risks.

Madam Amponsah also called on parents, guardians, and the media to help educate the public about the dangers associated with such drug use.
