Asantehene is the King Solomon of our time – IGP Christian Tetteh Yohunu

The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohunu, has described the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as “the King Solomon of our time,” praising the revered monarch for his exceptional wisdom, leadership, and commitment to peace.

According to the IGP, the Asantehene’s ability to resolve complex disputes with fairness and insight mirrors the biblical King Solomon, who was renowned for his discernment and sense of justice.

He noted that Otumfuo’s influence goes beyond the Ashanti Kingdom, serving as a unifying force across Ghana and earning respect both locally and internationally.

Christian Tetteh Yohunu emphasized that the Asantehene’s approach to leadership, rooted in dialogue, cultural values, and mutual respect, has played a significant role in maintaining stability and harmony within traditional communities. He added that such leadership complements the work of state institutions, particularly in conflict prevention and resolution.

The Asantehene, widely admired for blending tradition with modern governance, continues to be celebrated as a symbol of wisdom and national cohesion.
