NPP flagbearership contestants should tell their delegates what they can do and stop the attacks, we are tired of them – Kessben Maakye crew laments

The Kessben FM Kumasi Maakye crew has voiced strong frustration over the growing wave of attacks among contestants vying for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership, urging aspirants to shift their focus to ideas and solutions rather than personal and political attacks.
Speaking on the popular morning show in Kumasi, the panelists lamented that the tone of the race has become unnecessarily hostile, with supporters and camps of various aspirants trading accusations and subtle jabs instead of engaging in constructive debate. According to the Maakye crew, this approach is wearing out party delegates and the general public alike.
They stressed that delegates are more interested in hearing what each contestant can practically offer the party and the country, clear plans for economic recovery, party unity, youth employment, and governance, rather than constant attacks on opponents’ credibility or past records.
The crew warned that persistent infighting could weaken the NPP ahead of crucial elections, creating divisions that may be difficult to heal. They called on party leadership and aspirants to rein in their supporters and promote issue-based campaigning.
In their view, Ghanaians are tired of the negativity and want leadership that demonstrates maturity, vision, and the ability to unite rather than divide.
