Most people who like shifting blame are not sound-minded – Thomas Owusu Ansah

Former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ahafo Ano South East, Hon. Thomas Owusu Ansah, has criticized some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he described as unhealthy blame-shifting following the party’s loss in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with Wofa Kofi Appiah, Hon. Owusu Ansah stated that “most people who like shifting blame are not sound-minded,” arguing that the tendency to single out Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the party’s defeat is misguided and unfair.

According to him, election outcomes are shaped by multiple factors, including collective party decisions, governance challenges, and broader national issues, not the actions of one individual. He cautioned that internal attacks and finger-pointing would only weaken party unity and delay the rebuilding process.

Hon. Owusu Ansah urged NPP members to focus on honest reflection, strategic reforms, and unity rather than assigning blame, stressing that a mature assessment of the party’s performance is essential for future success.
