Chito Awards Laptops to KNUST 2025 JSMQ Winners

Mr Kwame Opoku Sarkodie affectionately called Chito, US based Ghanaian and a leading youth-focused brand, has awarded laptops to winners of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Junior Science and Mathematics Quiz (JSMQ) in a ceremony held on campus.
The presentation recognized outstanding performance by participating senior high schools, celebrating academic excellence and innovation among young learners. Each winning team received laptops to support their studies and encourage continued interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Speaking at the event, the General Manager of Kessben Media, Mr Andrews Anikora, who presented the four brand new laptops on behalf of Chito remarked that the initiative reflects Mr Opoku Sarkodie commitment to education and youth development. “We believe investing in students is investing in the future. These laptops are tools to help the winners explore, learn and create,” the representative noted.
The Board Chairman for KNUST JSMQ Professor Kwasi Preko praised the partnership, describing it as a timely boost for students who have demonstrated discipline, teamwork and critical thinking. “Support like this motivates participants and raises the standard of the competition,” an official from the quiz committee said.
Students expressed excitement and gratitude, saying the laptops would aid research, assignments and preparation for future competitions. “This will really help us improve our learning,” one team member shared.
The KNUST JSMQ is an annual academic competition designed to promote problem-solving skills and scientific curiosity among senior high school students. With Chito’s support, organizers say the quiz will continue to inspire excellence and nurture the next generation of innovators.
