1. WA EAST, UPPER WEST REGION — Leadership, many argue, is not measured by the offices one occupies but by the lives one touches. In Wa East Constituency, that philosophy is increasingly associated with Hon. Prince Razak Abdul Moomin Tachi, whose consistent grassroots interventions are redefining service beyond politics.
2. A former two-term Upper West Regional Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Razak has combined party loyalty with practical community action. Long after the electioneering season, his presence continues to be felt across towns and villages in the constituency.
3. Water as a Right, Not a Privilege. At a time when many communities struggle with access to potable water, Hon. Razak took personal initiative to provide relief. Mechanised boreholes have been successfully drilled in Kataa, Jeyiri, and Buffiamah, with further extensions to Sombisi, Kundugu, Jumo, Bulenga, and Funsi, the district capital—an intervention residents describe as life-changing.
4. Education, Youth, and Jobs. Beyond water, Hon. Razak’s development footprint spans education, youth empowerment, and livelihoods. He is currently initiating the construction of six-unit classroom blocks at Chawuli Falia, with preparations underway for Tinniabie. Several students have also received direct educational support.
5. Youth development remains central to his agenda, reflected in donations of sports equipment to schools such as Loggu SHS, job placements for young people, and sustained support for local farmers through agricultural inputs and infrastructure materials.
6. Party Unity and Grassroots Strength. Following the NDC primaries, Hon. Razak openly campaigned for Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw, reinforcing party unity and mobilising grassroots support. He has also constructed a youth party camp in Bulenga, with another currently underway in Kundugu.
7. The ‘Grow Together’ Vision. Hon. Prince Razak Abdul Moomin Tachi’s guiding principle—“Take all along”—captures a leadership style rooted in inclusion and shared progress. Observers note that his achievements, largely funded through personal sacrifice, demonstrate what is possible when leadership is driven by purpose rather than position.
8. As Wa East looks to the future, many residents believe the constituency already has a leader who understands its challenges—and is actively working to address them.
