Speaking on Kessben FM in an interview with DJ KA, Daddy Lumba’s popular lookalike, Nana Buah, shared a touching story about how his admiration for the iconic musician began.
According to Nana Buah, his journey of following and studying Daddy Lumba started in 2002 after he heard the classic song “Akwanoma.” He explained that the song’s deep emotional message, unique composition, and Daddy Lumba’s powerful delivery instantly captured his heart. From that moment, he became deeply drawn to the musician’s style, voice, and stage presence.
Nana Buah noted that “Akwanoma” did not only influence his love for music but also shaped his personal identity as a devoted follower of Daddy Lumba. Over the years, his physical resemblance to the late musician, combined with his passion for performing Daddy Lumba’s songs, earned him recognition as the legendary singer’s lookalike.
During the interview, Nana Buah expressed gratitude to Daddy Lumba for the timeless music and legacy he left behind. He emphasized that even though the legend is gone, his songs continue to speak to people and inspire upcoming talents across Ghana and beyond.
