NDC and NPP should stop the cheap politics and do more of politics of development – Kwabena Owusu Dankwah (KOD)

The co-host of Kessben Maakye, Kwabena Owusu Dankwah (KOD), has called on Ghana’s two main political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to move away from what he described as cheap and concentrate more on development-oriented governance.
Speaking on the popular morning show on Kessben FM, KOD expressed concern that excessive political bickering, blame games, and partisan propaganda are distracting leaders from addressing the real challenges facing ordinary Ghanaians. According to him, the constant political tension between the NDC and NPP offers little value to citizens who are more concerned about jobs, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic stability.
KOD stressed that Ghana’s democracy has matured enough for political actors to rise above unnecessary confrontations and instead compete on ideas, policies, and tangible development outcomes. He argued that politics should be about improving lives, not scoring points against opponents on radio, television, and social media.
