NDC has done nothing since they took over, They say the cedi has appreciated but prices of goods and service remain the same – Hon. Enock Nyarko

Hon. Enock Nyarko, former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Jaman North, has criticised the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming the party has failed to make any meaningful impact since assuming office.
Speaking on Kessben FM, he challenged supporters of the NDC to clearly identify a single major achievement of the government, arguing that visible results are lacking.
According to Hon. Nyarko, although government officials have touted the appreciation of the Ghanaian cedi as a sign of economic recovery, this has not translated into real relief for ordinary Ghanaians.
He pointed out that prices of goods and services remain high, questioning the practical benefits of the reported currency gains. “They say the cedi has appreciated, but go to the market and nothing has changed,” he remarked.
He further emphasized that economic indicators should reflect in the daily lives of citizens, particularly in reduced cost of living and improved purchasing power. His comments add to the growing political debate over the true state of the economy and whether recent economic claims align with the realities faced by Ghanaians.
