Emmanuel Methodist JHS Wins 2025 Junior Science and Maths Quiz National Championship
Emmanuel Methodist Junior High School has been crowned champions of the 2025 Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) National Championship, held at the CCB Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Emmanuel Methodist Junior High School has been crowned champions of the 2025 Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) National Championship, held at the CCB Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The highly anticipated Grand Finale featured three schools, Emmanuel Methodist JHS, Best Brain Academy, and Good Shepherd RC JHS, each competing for the coveted national title. After a competitive contest marked by speed, accuracy and teamwork, Emmanuel Methodist JHS emerged victorious with a total of 32 points.
Best Brain Academy followed closely with 28 points, placing second after demonstrating strong performances across all rounds. Good Shepherd RC JHS secured 15 points, finishing as the second runner-up in the three-school contest.

As part of the prize package, each contestant from Emmanuel Methodist JHS received a a brand new laptop sponsored by Mr Kwame Opoku Sarkodie commonly known as Chito and presented by Kessben Media General manager Mr Andrews Anikorah while the school was awarded GH₵10,000. Best Brain Academy, the first runner-up, received GH₵7,000, and Good Shepherd RC JHS took home GH₵5,000 for finishing third.

All contestants who participated in the final also received GH₵250 each, a gesture made possible through the sponsorship of Prof. A. Y. Omari-Sasu.
This year’s competition once again highlighted the academic potential and scientific talent of Ghana’s junior high school students, with Emmanuel Methodist JHS earning well-deserved national acclaim for their outstanding performance.
