I started with just half an acre of farmland, I now have 123 acres – 2025 National best cocoa farmer Edward Kwame Yeboah reveals

The 2025 National Best Cocoa Farmer, Edward Kwame Yeboah, has shared an inspiring story of humble beginnings and steady growth, revealing that his successful cocoa empire began with just a half acre of farmland.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, the award-winning farmer recounted his journey from a small-scale grower to one of the country’s most celebrated agricultural figures.
According to him, discipline, consistency, and a strong belief in the potential of cocoa farming kept him going even when returns were minimal.
Over the years, he reinvested his earnings, expanded gradually, and adopted modern farming practices, efforts that have now earned him 123 acres of productive farmland.
He encouraged young people to consider agriculture as a viable and rewarding career, stressing that the sector holds great promise for those willing to learn and commit.
