ATU graduates 2,771 students and ranked Best Technical University in Ghana

Accra Technical University [ATU] has graduated a total of 2,771 students in Master of Technology, Master of science, Batchelor of Technology and Diploma degrees for the year 2025 in Accra.
It comprises of 427 in engineering, [Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic civil]. 116 Built Environment, 348 for Applied Arts,1184 Business ,696 Applied science.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice chancellor of ATU, Prof Amevi Acakpovi siad the University was Best Technical University in Ghana and ranked also 4th in Ghana and 44th in Sub- Saharan Africa, winner of the National SDG Awards for curriculum innovation, Teaching and Energy Research, Earned ‘’Best Technical University in West Africa’’ recognition.
‘’ ATU still consolidates its position as Ghana’s most vibrant University by producing in high demand fields like cyber-security, energy, systems, Al driven technologies, environmental science, and industrial visibility ‘’he said
The Vice -chancellor said the University achievements spans research, capacity building, internationalization, infrastructure, student development and institutional visibility, adding that the University has organized career and job fairs which forms part of the effort to bridge academia with industry.
On grant mobilization, he said ATU have secured over $4.5 million in completive grants across multiple international partners and pointed out that the move contributes to the institutions continued transformation through research.
Prof. Amevi Acakpovi advised graduands to be innovative, creative, purpose driven and exhibits commitments in the World of Works [ Wows], adding that the workplace awaits their skills and leadership transformation.
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu in a speech read on his behalf urged graduands to be innovative creating their own jobs than to rely on government for employments, adding they must self-independent to employ people.
He applauded the University authorities for fervently contributing to the human resource base of the country for rapid economic growth and development.
Senior Vice President for MTN Group, Mr. Ebenezer Asante commended ATU for their progress despite limitations saying the University has demonstrated its capability of graduating students to work in numerous organizations.
