Amenfi Central MP Calls for Collective Action Towards Sustainable Development

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Honourable Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has made a passionate appeal to residents to join forces in driving sustainable development and creating meaningful jobs in the constituency.

In a statement, the MP emphasized that the challenges facing the community are real, but so are the opportunities. She noted that the community stands at a pivotal moment, and it is imperative that residents come together to turn ambition into action, and action into lasting prosperity for every family and every neighborhood.

Hon. Cudjoe outlined practical steps towards achieving progress, including supporting small businesses, prioritizing skills training, and encouraging innovation that leverages the unique strengths of the community. She emphasized the importance of investing in education, equipping the youth with the tools to compete in a global economy, while empowering seasoned workers to upgrade and adapt.

The MP highlighted the potential of local industries, including agriculture, crafts, mining support services, and sustainable energy, to create steady employment when united behind common standards, transparent processes, and catalytic partnerships with national and international allies.

Hon. Cudjoe urged residents to participate in community forums, share ideas, and hold leaders accountable, while also championing projects that improve roads, markets, healthcare, and digital access. She emphasized that development is not a single project, but a shared, ongoing effort that requires careful planning, accountable leadership, and a culture of collaboration.

The MP expressed commitment to listening, coordinating, and delivering results that elevate Amenfi Central, emphasizing that the future the community wants for its children is within reach.

“Let us pursue development with integrity, inclusivity, and a shared sense of purpose,” Hon. Cudjoe stated. “The future we want for our children is within reach—let us seize it together.”

The statement was made in the wake of the Amenfi Central District’s Farmers’ Day celebration, which highlighted the importance of agriculture and rural development in driving economic growth and reducing poverty.
