Kennedy Agyapong is the one who can make Ghana truly independent through industrialization – Edwin Okyere Boateng
A member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, Edwin Okyere Boateng, has made a passionate appeal to New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to throw their support behind Kennedy Agyapong in the party’s leadership race.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM with KOD, Boateng argued that Kennedy Agyapong is the only candidate with the practical vision and courage needed to make Ghana truly independent through industrialization.
According to Boateng, Ghana’s overdependence on foreign imports, ranging from basic goods to machinery, continues to weaken the nation’s economic foundations. He insisted that Kennedy Agyapong has, over the years, demonstrated a strong commitment to local job creation, entrepreneurship, and investment in Ghanaian industries, proving his capacity to drive large-scale industrial transformation.
He emphasized that Agyapong’s track record in business, particularly in establishing and managing multiple companies, positions him as the leader who can spearhead a national industrial agenda. Such an agenda, he said, would not only strengthen the economy but also boost national pride and self-reliance.
Boateng urged NPP delegates to look beyond politics and focus on Ghana’s long-term economic future. Choosing Kennedy Agyapong, he argued, is choosing a leader who understands the needs of ordinary Ghanaians and has the boldness to implement the necessary changes.
