Ghanaian Rally Duo Paul List and Johnny Jakobsen Gear Up for East African Safari Classic Rally

Ghanaian rally drivers Paul Edward List and Johnny Jakobsen are set to make history at the 2025 East African Safari Classic Rally, one of the world’s most challenging motorsport events. The seasoned duo, backed by BMA Autosport, will fly Ghana’s flag high as they tackle the grueling 5,000-kilometer course in Kenya from December 5 to 13, 2025.

Competing in a specially prepared Porsche 911 Carrera SC Safari, List and Jakobsen are well-equipped to take on the likes of former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen, Top Gear presenter Chris Harris, and other international stars. Their vehicle, upgraded to BMA’s 2025 Safari specification, boasts reinforced suspension, a dual-ignition race engine, and 20 rally-grade Pirelli tyres, making it ready for the harsh East African terrain.

As Ghana’s representatives, List and Jakobsen are expected to put up a strong fight, leveraging their technical expertise and teamwork to navigate the demanding course. The event promises to be an exhilarating display of speed, endurance, and national pride, with Ghanaian motorsport fans eagerly following their progress.

The team’s €267,000 campaign is underway, with support and partnerships being rallied to help fund their entry into the prestigious event.
