RNAQ Foundation Unveils Four Food Bank Branches in Kumasi to Combat Growing Food Insecurity

The Richard Nii Armah Quay Foundation has officially launched four new food bank branches in the Kumasi Metropolis as part of efforts to tackle the rising challenge of food insecurity in the country.

The newly opened branches are located at Bantama, Asafo Labour, Anloga, and Allabah of which the initiative will provide free daily meals to the public for a year with the only requirement for access being a valid Ghana Card.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the RNAQ Foundation, Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quay, expressed profound gratitude to the Bantamahene, Nana Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, for offering space to host one of the food banks within the Bantama community and also assured residents that the foundation is committed to supplying consistent food and water across all four branches to support individuals in need.

On behalf of the people of Kumasi, the Bantamahene also thanked Mr. Quay for his generosity, describing the initiative as a timely intervention that will bring relief to many families and also urged beneficiaries to exercise patience and maintain order to prevent any disturbances that could damage the facilities.
