My own NPP colleagues, like Dr Ayew Afriyie, hated & victimized me all because I said I could not work with Bawumia – Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah reveals

The internal politics of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took a dramatic turn as the Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South-West Hon Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah has alleged that he suffered hostility and victimization from some of his own party colleagues after expressing reservations about working with what he described as the Bawumia” ticket.
According to the MP, some colleagues, including Dr Ayew Afriyie, reacted harshly to his stance, treating him with what he called “hatred and victimization.” He claimed that his simple declaration that he could not work with Bawumia was met with unnecessary internal aggression rather than dialogue.
The MP further stated that such behavior reflects a worrying trend of intolerance within some factions of the party, adding that this atmosphere stifles genuine debate and weakens party unity.
In a renewed call for harmony ahead of internal decision-making processes, he appealed directly to NPP delegates to prioritize unity, cohesion, and collaboration. He urged them to consider leaders who can bring together all sides of the party.
The MP specifically pointed to Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the figure capable of restoring unity within the NPP, describing him as “a true unifier” with the temperament and leadership style needed to mend internal divisions.
