One major reason Ghanaians voted for NDC to come to power is the promise to fight corruption & we will not let Ghanaians down – James Sukah (Papa Jay)

The Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Oforikrom Constituency, James Sukah, popularly known as Papa Jay, has reiterated the party’s strong commitment to fighting corruption, a key reason, he says, many Ghanaians voted for the NDC to return to power.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Papa Jay stressed that the NDC is fully aware of the expectations of the Ghanaian people, particularly on issues of integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance.
“One major reason Ghanaians voted for the NDC to come to power is the promise to fight corruption, and we will not let Ghanaians down,” he declared.
He explained that widespread dissatisfaction with corruption and misuse of public funds under the previous administration influenced the electorate’s decision. According to him, the NDC’s pledge to restore confidence in public institutions and ensure that state resources are used responsibly resonated strongly with voters across the country.
Papa Jay further assured that the NDC government will take concrete steps to deliver on this promise, including empowering anti-corruption agencies, strengthening financial oversight, and ensuring that individuals found guilty of corrupt acts face the full rigour of the law, regardless of political affiliation.
He called on Ghanaians to support the government’s reform agenda and remain vigilant, emphasizing that the fight against corruption requires collective effort and national discipline.
