NPP Flagbearership Race: Say what you can do for the Party and stop the divisive comments – Kingsley Bonsu Kyeretwie

The Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manhyia South Constituency, Mr Kingsley Bonsu Kyeretwie, has cautioned aspirants and supporters involved in the party’s flagbearership contest to refrain from divisive rhetoric and focus on promoting unity.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Mr Kyeretwie urged candidates to channel their campaign messages towards outlining practical ideas and strategies that can strengthen the NPP, rather than engaging in attacks and inflammatory statements that could fracture the party.
“This is not the time for insults and divisions. Every aspirant should tell us what he or she can do for the party and the country, not what others cannot do,” he said.
According to him, the NPP’s strength has always been its unity of purpose, and maintaining that cohesion is crucial as the party prepares for the next general election. He warned that internal disunity could jeopardize the NPP’s chances of retaining power in the 2028 polls.
Mr Kyeretwie also appealed to delegates to evaluate aspirants based on their competence, loyalty, and ability to unite the party after the primaries.
He further called on party communicators and grassroots members to promote messages of peace and togetherness, emphasizing that internal contests should never override the NPP’s collective mission of development and good governance.
