PAC Chairperson Abena Osei Asare is part of the reason people say women become arrogant & pompous in high positions – Frank Otuo Acheampong

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Frank Otuo Acheampong, has taken a swipe at the Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), accusing her of exhibiting arrogance in her public dealings.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Frank Otuo Acheampong claimed that the attitude of the PAC Chairperson reinforces a negative perception that some women in high political offices become pompous once they attain power.
According to Acheampong, recent conduct by Abena Osei Asare during PAC proceedings and in her interactions with subordinates and colleagues reflects a sense of superiority that does not help Ghana’s governance image. “She’s one of the reasons people say when women get high positions, they become arrogant. The way she talks to people and carries herself at times is unbecoming of a leader,” he said.
He, however, clarified that his comments were not an attack on women in leadership but a call for humility and respect regardless of one’s gender or position.
