Isaac Obeng, popularly known as Kasongo, who became a social media sensation following his viral pre-wedding photos, has opened a brand-new importation shop in Kumasi.
Kasongo made headlines earlier this year after his pre-wedding pictures attracted massive attention online, with many trolling him for his looks. However, he handled the situation with grace and positivity, winning the admiration of many Ghanaians for his confidence and humility.
In an interview on Kessben FM with Fante Quoo, Kasongo revealed that his new shop, which deals in imported goods, is worth around GHC500,000. He expressed gratitude to God and his supporters for standing by him through both the criticism and the fame that followed.
“People mocked me when my pictures went viral, but I didn’t let it bring me down. I kept my focus, and today, by God’s grace, I’ve opened my own shop,” Kasongo said.
He added that his story should inspire others not to be discouraged by negativity but to stay determined and work hard toward their dreams.
