I’m not in politics to find money, but to help people – Dr. Bawumia

Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Ghana, emphasizing that his motivation for entering politics has never been personal gain.
Speaking at a recent campaign event, Dr. Bawumia stated that his goal in politics is to improve lives and create opportunities for ordinary Ghanaians through innovation, integrity, and inclusive governance.
“I’m not in politics to find money; I’m in politics to help human beings,” Dr. Bawumia said, stressing that leadership should be about service and impact, not wealth accumulation.
He highlighted his track record in championing digital transformation, economic reforms, and social intervention programs aimed at reducing poverty and improving access to essential services.
Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaians, especially members of the NPP, to support leaders who are motivated by compassion and a genuine desire to serve.
According to him, Ghana’s progress depends on selfless leadership that prioritizes national development over personal interests.
