Solomon Amankwah cautions NPP: A party with many wise individuals can encounter more problems if they can’t work together

NPP Odotobri constituency communication officer, Mr. Solomon Amankwah, has stated that having too many ‘wise men’ is hurting the party. Why repeat past mistakes that led to problems and caused the party to lose power?

It’s inconsistent to expect national executives like the Chairperson and General Secretary to remain neutral, while regional and constituency leaders, including MPs, are expected to declare support for a single candidate. This isn’t necessary. How can these leaders introduce candidates to their regions or constituencies fairly if they’re seen as biased?

Candidates should focus on sharing their vision and plans for the election. The insults, threats, and attacks in internal party politics are concerning and could harm the party’s future. Losing an election isn’t the end of the party or life – other parties have faced defeat too.

Ghanaians are watching closely, and this behavior could be used against us. Let’s practice democracy with respect and understanding. A contest shouldn’t be a fight; it’s about presenting our ideas. Let’s unite and work towards winning the next general election.
