No Gov’t can come & complete all road-construction in Ghana – Dr Kwasi Kyei fires back at NDC members saying NPP didn’t do well on roads
Dr Kwasi Kyei of NPP has responded forcefully to criticism from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) by arguing that no government, however ambitious, can fully finish all the road-construction work needed in Ghana.
Dr Kyei stressed that while governments can initiate many projects, the scale, cost and maintenance of the road network make it unrealistic to expect full completion during any single administration.
He argued that criticism from the NDC fails to acknowledge the systemic and financial constraints facing the sector. He challenged the NDC to show more humility given the magnitude of the task.
The NDC has repeatedly questioned the NPP government’s claims on road-construction. For instance, the NDC has challenged the figure of over 12,000 km of roads claimed by the NPP, arguing that the roads are nowhere to be found.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Dr Kyei urged that parties should move beyond partisan point-scoring: “Let’s stop pretending one government can finish this job alone.
