United NPP is an unstoppable NPP – Eugene Boakye Antwi calls for unity after January 2026 flagbearer contest

Former Member of Parliament for Subin and aspiring General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Eugene Boakye Antwi, has called on party members to remain united after the upcoming flagbearer contest scheduled for January 2026.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Boakye Antwi emphasized that internal competition should not divide the party but rather strengthen its democratic credentials. He asserted that unity remains the NPP’s greatest strength and a prerequisite for reclaiming political dominance in future elections.
“A united NPP is an unstoppable NPP,” he declared. “When the flagbearer contest is over, we must all rally behind whoever emerges as leader. The contest should end with stronger bonds, not divisions.”
He urged party members, aspirants, and their supporters to conduct themselves with respect and maturity during the campaign period, stressing that leadership contests are meant to choose the best representative, not to create factions.
Boakye Antwi, who is seeking to become the party’s next General Secretary, said one of his top priorities will be to promote internal reconciliation and rebuild confidence among grassroots members. He noted that the NPP’s ability to present a united front after January 2026 will determine its success heading into the 2028 general elections.
“Our focus should be on winning power, not fighting each other. Once we stand together, no political force in Ghana can stop us,” he added.
