NPP does not have a credible database, the only credible database we have is for delegates – Eugene Boakye Antwi, Aspiring NPP GS

Former Subin MP, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has asserted that the NPP lacks a comprehensive and credible database of all its members.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye, he explained that what the party currently possesses is a database limited to its delegates,  those entitled to vote in internal processes,  but not one that covers the broader card-holding membership.

The aspiring General Secretary, Boakye Antwi framed this as a major organisational weakness. Without a verified and all-inclusive membership register, he argued, the party is hindered in its ability to engage, mobilise and strategise effectively. He described the delegates’ database as a “narrow” tool, useful for internal contests but insufficient when the party must campaign, communicate and build grassroots networks ahead of major elections.

He said this flaw has practical consequences. For example, targeting campaigns, monitoring supporter loyalty, and ensuring turnout become more difficult when you cannot reliably say who your members are, where they are located, or how active they are. According to him, the absence of a credible register means the NPP is effectively flying blind in many of its organisational operations.

Boakye Antwi used the comment as part of his wider pitch for reform, saying that if he becomes General Secretary, one of his priorities will be to lead a “digital transformation” of the party’s membership systems. On his personal website he highlights this goal: “Creating a comprehensive digital transformation that puts the NPP ahead of the curve … a digital party is a winning party.
