Urging Collective Action Against Drug Abuse: A call for Community And Government Collaboration

The Chief imam for Adenta District Sheikh imam Mohammed Mutawakil has called on community and government to collaborate in the fight against drug abuse among the youth.

Speaking in an interview with Homebasetv noted that drug abuse is one of the pressing issues facing our youth as a country and that it does not only destroy them but also leave them with no future.

According to him drug abuse can only end when our young men and women understand their moral values and understand the need to be healthy.

He added that the youth should focus on chasing their dreams rather than taken in drugs .

 

He again noted that women should be given leadership roles because it will help to build their confidence in the society.

According to him Islam is not against such act but rather supports women empowerment and supports girl child education.
