Ghana-Turkey Trade Ties Strengthened at Turkey-Africa Business Forum

Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, is participating in the ongoing Turkey–Africa Business and Economic Forum taking place from October 16 to 17, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey.
The high-level forum brings together government officials, business leaders, and investors from across Africa and Turkey to explore opportunities for economic cooperation, trade expansion, and sustainable investment partnerships.
On the sidelines of the event, Hon. Ahi held bilateral discussions with the Deputy Minister for Trade of Turkey, Hon. Mustafa Tuzcu. Their meeting focused on strengthening trade and investment ties between Ghana and Turkey, with particular attention to developing strategic mechanisms that will drive mutual economic growth.
Hon. Ahi underscored the importance of both governments working collaboratively to scale up trade volumes between the two nations, with a renewed commitment to achieving the USD 1 billion trade target well ahead of the 2027 timeline.
The discussions reaffirmed both countries’ shared interest in fostering a dynamic and forward-looking trade partnership that supports industrial development and enhances private sector collaboration.
