Since NDC came into power in only 9 months, fuel prices have been increased by more than 20% – Sam Pyne, Former Kumasi Mayor

Former Kumasi Mayor, Sam Pyne, has raised concerns about the rising cost of fuel under the current NDC administration.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, Mr. Pyne claimed that since the NDC came into power, fuel prices have surged by over 20%, putting additional pressure on already struggling Ghanaians.
“Do you know that since NDC came to power, fuel prices have gone up by more than 20%. This has a direct effect on transport fares, food prices, and the general cost of living,” – Sam Pyne stated.
Fuel price hikes have a ripple effect across the economy. With transportation being a key driver of commerce, any increase in fuel cost affects almost every sector, from market traders to commercial drivers, and ultimately, the consumer.
Sam Pyne argued that this level of increase contradicts the NDC’s campaign message, which centered around economic relief and support for ordinary Ghanaians.
The former Mayor urged the government to be transparent about the reasons behind the consistent hikes and to implement policies that would cushion the impact on citizens.
