Don’t take life too seriously, sometimes go to the Beach and cool off  – Top Ghanaian Pastor, Rev. Vincent Kankam

Rev. Vincent Kankam, speaking on Kessben FM’s Food For Thought on Tuesday, shared a refreshing reminder in a world overwhelmed by busyness and stress, stating that people should not take life too seriously and be busy.

.Many of us live in a constant rush, chasing deadlines, managing responsibilities, and trying to meet endless expectations. While hard work and dedication are important, Rev. Kankam highlights a truth we often ignore: you can be driven and still need rest.

“Going to the beach,” as Rev. Kankam puts it, doesn’t always mean a literal beach. It’s a metaphor for slowing down, taking a break, and finding peace in the middle of life’s chaos.

Whether it’s a quiet walk, time with family, a short trip, or simply doing something you enjoy, it’s vital to unplug and recharge.

When we take life too seriously all the time, we risk losing our joy, creativity, and connection with ourselves. We start existing on autopilot. But Rev. Kankam reiterated that life is not just about overstressing oneself with work.
