Akim Swedru MP Secures 12 Boreholes with Africa Heartwood Project

The Akim Swedru constituency, Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Osei Nyarko, in partnership with the Africa Heartwood Project (AHP), has successfully overseen the construction of twelve (12) boreholes in select towns and villages.

The newly installed boreholes will provide fresh, clean water to thousands of residents in underserved areas, easing the burden on local communities and improving overall public health. Water access has long been a challenge in rural areas, and this initiative is set to transform the lives of many families who previously had limited or no access to safe drinking water.

“I’m truly grateful to the Country Director and the entire Africa Heartwood Project team for their continuous support whenever I approach them,” said Kennedy Osei Nyarko in a recent Facebook post. “Together, we’ve made significant strides in addressing one of the key issues faced by my constituency — access to clean water.”

This project is part of Kennedy Osei Nyarko’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and living conditions in Akim Swedru, and it aligns with his ongoing commitment to working with NGOs and other development partners to bring meaningful change to his people.

In his Facebook post, Kennedy Osei Nyarko emphasized that his door is always open to discussions with partners who are willing to work together to build a better future for Akim Swedru. The success of this borehole initiative reflects his unwavering dedication to his constituency and his determination to bring sustainable development to rural Ghana.
