Ghana’s rising skit sensation, known popularly as Kenya, has revealed that his unique breakthrough into comedy and acting came from embracing his natural stammer and turning it into a creative strength.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Fante Quoo on Kessben FM’s Drive Time Show, Kenya opened up about how he has lived with as a stammerer since childhood but never allowed it to hold him back. Instead, he decided to incorporate it into his skits, a move that unexpectedly resonated with audiences and launched his career.
“Naturally, I’m a stammerer, and I imbibed that into acting which led to my breakthrough,” Kenya shared. “At first, I was shy and felt limited, but I realized people connected with it because it was real and different.”
