The August 6 Z-9 helicopter crash claimed the lives of some senior government officials, including Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Murtala Mohammed.
An investigation was launched on August 25 announced by Acting Defense Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, with a 30-day deadline to complete its work and submit its findings.
Sources close to the investigation reveal that investigators collaborated with aviation experts from China as well as other relevant institutions, both local and international, to decode flight data recorders and analyze technical components critical to understanding what transpired.
