I am Better Placed To Deliver Victory For NPP In 2028—Dr Bryan
Story By Michael Ofosu-Afriyie, Kumasi.

Dr. Bryan Acheampong, an aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag-bearer position, has promised to resource polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and constituency executives to ensure they execute their mandates smoothly.
Addressing a gathering of party members in the Asokwa constituency on Monday night, Dr. Acheampong stated that his 23 years of service to the party give him a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by party officers.
He noted that he has a clear plan to replicate his success in the Abetifi constituency where he made party work seamless across Ghana for all NPP members, should he be elected flag-bearer on January 31, 2026.
“I hold the humble view that party work must be made seamless for polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and constituency executives. Just as I have made it attractive for Abetifi members, I plan to replicate this by resourcing all party executives when elected flag-bearer for the party,” the aspirant asserted.
NPP Performance and Comparison:
Popularly known as Dr. Bryan or “BA,” the Abetifi Member of Parliament and flag-bearer hopeful argued that the NPP has historically performed well in general elections, citing successes in 2000, 2004, 2016, and 2020 under former Presidents Kufuor and Nana Akufo-Addo.
The party, he said, had high hopes that its 2024 flag-bearer would equal or better those results.
However, he claimed that Dr. Bawumia failed to meet expectations, resulting in what he called the “most humiliating defeat ever” for the NPP.
Dr. Acheampong further pointed out that Dr. Bawumia’s performance was abysmal, particularly in the northern regions and Zongo communities, areas he was widely touted to command support.
“We cannot present someone whose performance in his own perceived strongholds failed him and who won no constituency in seven regions of the country,” Dr. Bryan stressed.
Ideals for Victory
The flag-bearer hopeful maintained that the NPP has always thrived on effective strategy to win national elections and that this would be repeated under his leadership.
He highlighted that his trump cards for securing victory would be thorough research and good policies designed to benefit every Ghanaian.
Having assessed the strengths of the other candidates in the upcoming flag-bearer elections, Dr. Bryan declared himself the best fit to lead because he carries “no baggage of harbouring bitter elements within the NPP.”
“I am sure my entry is the design of God because I hold the humble view that I possess the charisma and character to carry all the party’s supporters along to prosecute a well-oiled campaign. There would be no room for bitterness, as is currently being shown by the supporters of Ken and Bawumia against each other,” the Abetifi MP concluded.
