Allegations against my former boss, Godfred Dame are borne out of dislike & political witch hunt – Former Deputy Attorney General, Alfred Tuah Yeboah

Former Deputy Attorney General, Alfred Tuah Yeboah, has described the recent allegations against his former boss, Godfred Yeboah Dame, as baseless and politically motivated.

Speaking in a media interview, Tuah Yeboah said the claims are not only unfounded but are driven by personal dislike and an attempt to tarnish Dame’s reputation.

“This is nothing more than a political witch hunt,” Tuah Yeboah asserted. “Those making these claims simply do not like Godfred Dame, and they are using politics as a tool to destroy his credibility.”

The comments come in the wake of a petition filed by businessman Richard Jakpa, who alleges that the former Attorney General attempted to influence his testimony in an ongoing criminal case. The case in question involves an ambulance procurement deal, with Jakpa claiming Dame urged him to implicate other accused persons.

Tuah Yeboah, however, strongly disagrees with the narrative. Having worked closely with Dame at the Ministry of Justice, he described his former boss as a man of integrity and professionalism. He insisted that if there were any wrongdoing, it would have been evident during his time as Deputy AG.

He also pointed out that the courts had already reviewed similar claims and found no basis to the allegations, adding that the ongoing attacks are part of a coordinated effort to damage Dame’s public image.

As calls grow for further investigations into the matter, Tuah Yeboah’s defence of Dame adds a new political dimension to what is shaping up to be a high-profile legal and ethical battle.
