Ghana Supports President Trump’s 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan

Key Points of the Plan
Immediate Ceasefire: The plan calls for an immediate end to hostilities, with all military operations suspended and frontlines frozen.
Hostage Release: All Israeli hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned within 72 hours, in exchange for the release of 250 life-sentence prisoners and 1,700 Gazans detained after October 7, 2023.
Dimilitarization: Gaza will be demilitarized under independent monitors, with a process to place weapons permanently beyond use.
Transitional Governance: A technocratic Palestinian committee will govern Gaza temporarily, with oversight from an international body, the “Board of Peace”.
Reconstruction: A Trump economic development plan will be created to rebuild and energize Gaza, with a focus on job creation and economic growth.
International Stabilization Force: A temporary international force will be deployed to oversee security and train Palestinian police forces.
Ghana’s Stance
Ghana’s government has expressed hope that this initiative will provide a viable pathway to achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, allowing the states of Israel and Palestine to coexist in harmony and security.
