Ghana-Japan Business Ties to Strengthen”: 50-Member Japanese Delegation to Explore Investment Opportunities in Ghana

The First Secretary, Head of Economic and Development Cooperation, Mad. Junko Masuda, of the Japanese embassy in Ghana, has disclosed that a 50 member business delegation will visit Ghana in January 2026 to explore business and investment opportunities in the country.

She mentioned that the visit by the Japanese delegation follows the recent participation of his Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama at the TICAD 9 conference in Tokyo Japan.
The delegation is expected among other things to hold a Ghana -Japanese Business and Investment Forum and engage in bilateral meetings in other sectors of the Ghanaian economy including Trade, Agribusiness Transportation, Energy, logistics, communications among others.

The que sequential visit also aimed at to deepening the Ghana -Japan bilateral relations and cooperation while creating jobs and opportunities for growth.

Speaking at the preparatory meeting on Tuesday 30th September, 2025 in Accra, ahead of the official visit next year , the Chief Director of the Ministry of Trade Agribusiness & Industry Mr Noah Tumfo, on behalf of the Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, described the upcoming visit by the Japanese delegation as timely and appropriate.

He concluded that the Ministry and its Agencies stands ready to work with the Japanese embassy in Ghana to facilitate a smooth investment partnership while fostering economic diplomacy.
