In less than 5 months since my appointment, I have connected electricity to 22 communities – Ahafo Ano South West DCE, Hon Abubakar Sedik

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Alhaji Abubakar Sedik, has revealed that within just five months of assuming office, his administration has successfully connected 22 communities in the district to the national electricity grid.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM, the DCE described the achievement as part of his broader goal to ensure universal access to electricity across all communities in the district within his first four-year term.
He explained that the electrification project is not only aimed at improving living conditions but also designed to support small businesses, enhance access to education, and create a better environment for healthcare delivery.
Residents across the beneficiary communities have welcomed the move, describing it as a major relief that will ease the burden of living in darkness and create new economic opportunities.
The DCE assured listeners that more transformers and installations are on the way and called on stakeholders, especially the Ministry of Energy and the Energy Commission, to continue their support to achieve full coverage.
This development adds to a growing list of early accomplishments under Sedik’s leadership, positioning him as a results-oriented administrator focused on tangible, people-centered development.
