Government Urged To Revive The LiveStock Sector And Make It More Effective.
The government of Ghana has been urged to revive the livestock sector and make it more effective and relevant.
Speaking during the 2nd Annual National Livestock Day Event which happened today at the Accra Conference center , Mr imam Hannafi Sunde the president of the Ghana National Association of Cattle Farmers indicated that there is the need for the government to addressing some of the pressing challenges of the livestock sector.
According to him the Ghanian livestock sector needs a revolution and must be made more effective to support the food and agriculture sector.
He noted that the event aims at promoting livestock farming and also aims at enhancing the modernization of agriculture across the country.
He called on the government to support in ensuring the event becomes successful.
The Minister for Food And Agriculture Hon. Eric Opoku also noted that he is overly excited for the impact the event will have on the agricultural sector .
According to him the Agriculture Sector needs a serious reform especially in the livestock and animal sector.
He noted that his ministry is committed to ensuring that livestock and agriculture sector has improved and ensuring food production increases .
