I will rate the Akufo Addo Bawumia Gov’t 85%, The small area we fell short was the important aspect – Kwadwo Nsafoa Poku

Leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Nsafoa Poku has offered assessment of the previous Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
Speaking on Amansan Tie with KOD, the energy expert said, “I will rate the previous NPP Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government 85%. The small area we fell short was just the important aspect.”
The NPP government, which held office from 2017 to 2025, implemented a range of transformational policies that supporters often cite as evidence of progress:
One of the flagship policies, it expanded access to secondary education for hundreds of thousands of Ghanaian students.
Led by Vice President Bawumia, the administration introduced the Ghana Card, digital address system, and mobile money interoperability, modernizing key public services.
These milestones contribute to what Mr Nsafoa described as the government’s “85%” performance rating, an acknowledgment of strong effort and visible gains.
However, the statement also underscores a deeper concern: that despite numerous achievements, the administration failed where it arguably mattered most, economic stability and trust. its mistakes, especially those in the “important aspects” that directly affect the daily lives of Ghanaians.
